The most respected show in the luxury watch industry, Watches and Wonders, will return with a flourish to Geneva from March 27 to April 2, 2023.
The watchmaking capital of the world will host 48 of the world’s greatest watch companies, makers, and shops showcasing the finest watches during this event.
Rolex, Patek Philippe, and IWC, along with Cartier, Chanel, and Hermès, will be among the horology and luxury brands on show. A number of independents, like Laurent Ferrier and Rudis Sylva, will also grace the ultimate global luxury watch event.
Watches and Wonders will be held within the Palexpo exposition center, for the first time but the event will extend onto the streets of the Swiss city. As part of the ‘In the City’ event, major watch boutiques on Rue du Rhône and Rues Basses are opening their doors and showcasing exceptional designs, opulent pieces, and uncommon watch complexities.
In addition to a trade expo, the public may also attend lectures and debate panels presented by famous specialists and speakers. Topics span from analyzing watch trends to discussing watch worth to beginning a collection of antique timepieces. Topics like the metaverse, NFTs, blockchain, and circularity will also be covered.
The Watches and Wonders Geneva Foundation (WWGF), a new non-profit organization located in Geneva, is devoted to promoting “watchmaking excellence around the globe” via worldwide in-person or digital watch and jewelry exhibits.
Jean-Frédéric Dufour (CEO of Rolex) will serve as Chairman, while Emmanuel Perrin (Head of Richemont’s Specialist Watchmakers Division) will serve as Vice-Chairman. The present CEO of the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie (the foundation that administers Watches & Wonders), Matthieu Humair, will now become the CEO of the Watches and Wonders Geneva Foundation.
Watches & Wonders 2023 will include a record-breaking 49 brands, including 13 newcomers such as Alpina, Beauregard, Bell & Ross, Charles Zuber, Charriol, Chronoswiss, Frederique Constant, Gronefeld, Hautlence, Hysek, Kerbedanz, Pequignet, and U-Boat.
