Packing Tips
Packing is pivotal. You don’t want to forget anything but you also don’t want to over pack. Below are some tips that have worked for me.
1. Make a list
Make a list of all the items you will need on your trip. This will give you time to plan your outfits and buy any essential toiletry items.
2. Roll, don’t fold
I believe rolling is better than folding; for space and wrinkles. Tightly rolled clothes take up less space than folded one. There is no worries about wrinkles from the creases of folding.
3. Never check essential items
Always keep your essential belongings in your carry-on bag, not in your checked luggage. Your passport, identification, money, credit cards, jewelry, electronics, and other valuables should always be brought onto the plane with you.
4. Always pack as scarf
Regardless of the climate, I always travel with a scarf. It doesn’t take up any room and has many uses. It can jazz up an outfit, keep you warm if the AC is on too high on the plane, be used to cover up in conservative destinations and double as a pillow for an in-flight nap.
5. Leave a little room in your suitcase
Use the extra room for items you purchase while traveling.
