When it comes to the art of living luxuriously, The Franklin Hotel is the grand master. Exquisitely opulent and effortlessly chic. Elegant and romantic too. From the moment you step inside, it will sweep you off your feet. At first glance, The Franklin is a grand English townhouse. But there’s nothing textbook about this one-off retreat. It is the perfect blend of contemporary British style with Parisian flair, and Gatsby-era influences within the bar. On-the-ball service comes courtesy of an outstanding staff.
The exclusive location fits well with the low-key luxe vibe of The Franklin. You are welcomed by a stylish living room. A cozy library awaits you to enjoy, do some work or relish in after a day spent out and about in London.
There are 36 rooms in total including a variety of suites. They all have a vibe of moody elegance. The selection of Garden suites are the hotel’s finest rooms where French doors open up to reveal the private gardens below. Children are welcome; however, there are no special arrangements for them. Some rooms can be connected for families. The hotel is pet friendly.
There is a small gym, offering classes and a personal trainer upon request. Due to the boutiqueness of the hotel, there is no formal spa but there is a showpiece hammam in the basement.
There is a bar and library to dine, enjoy a signature cocktail or participate in the tradition of afternoon tea. The intimate Franklin Restaurant, found just off the lobby, offers high-end Italian fare. Make time for a drink in the bar with its Gatsby feel.
The neighborhood, Egerton Gardens, is quiet and quaint accenting The Franklin’s essence. It is a 15-20 minute walk to Harrod’s and other attractions. The luxury stores of Knightsbridge are just a hop, skip and jump from The Franklin’s front door. The city’s best museums, The V&A, Natural History Museum and the Science Museum, are all within a 10-minute walk.
