Once a tiny village in the 1700s, then the home of a royal Italian family, then the home of the Ferragamo family, now is all included in the property of the hotel.
The small village makes for an expansive sprawling property for guests to enjoy with its contrasting hills and fields, mountains and valleys, beautiful birds and peaceful serenity. Steeped in history and tradition, it is a step back in time. There are three villas on property; two 10 bedroom villas and one 8 bedroom villa. There is also a 3 building area of the property housing suites with its own private pool and cafe. All the décor is traditional Italian design with some of the villas having original restored furniture pieces. Some suites also have working fireplaces. It is a great mix of traditional with modern touches.
There is plenty to do with a spa, gym, pool, 3 hole golf course, tennis court, horseback riding, cooking class with the Chef and wine tour, all at your doorstep. There are two restaurants for dining and outdoor seating to enjoy the gorgeous views. The food is farm to table and delicious. The property was certified organic in 2015. They produce their own organic extra virgin olive oil, pasta sauce, pasta, honey, cheese and of course wine on property.
