A short 40-minute boat ride from Male Airport to the resort is just one of the many positive features of COMO Cocoa Island. You can see other islands from the property but it doesn’t deter from your feeling of privacy and sense of paradise.
Arriving at COMO Cocoa Island I instantly felt relaxed. The island is boutique as it is the home to 33 over-water villas, FARU Bar, UFAA restaurant, gym, spa, private Pilates studio, yoga pavilion and Marine Sports Center.
I loved my over water villa which instantly felt like my home away from home. The upstairs sleeping loft and half bathroom gave a sense of expansion to the villa. I also enjoyed the outdoor shower option in addition to the full bath with seperate shower and soaking tub.
This island is best known for its amazing snorkeling. You can go on a group snorkel excursion, walk the short distance to the reef and go independently or do what I did and walk down the steps of your deck and into the ocean. The sea life sites take your breath away. Don’t be nervous if you see baby sharks. They are harmless and will not bother you.
This island has an overall sense of healing and intimacy while providing the opportunity to engage with others if you choose. The staff is outstanding and helps to execute your every desire.
