Travel is a wonderful experience. To highlight that, here are some tips for a positive trip:
Pack Lightly: Whenever possible, try and fit everything into a carryon. Not having a checked bag makes the airport a breeze. Plus, you know the airline won’t lose your luggage. You can totally recycle outfits by switching up the tops (or bottoms) and adding a light jacket or additional accessories. And on the off chance you forgot anything, a quick run to the store can solve all problems!
Sleep, Sleep and More Sleep: Sleep is crucial when you are away, just as it is when you are home. Traveling is exciting and you want to take in all the destination has to offer. I get it but try get to bed at a reasonable hour or sleep in late. Just make sure you are getting enough sleep.
Eat, Drink and Be Merry: Vacations are all about dining out and enjoyment, but you should still be conscious of what you are putting into your body. Yes, have the glass of wine or indulge in the ice cream sundae but keep your daily workouts. Better yet, go sightseeing and take in the culture of your destination while waking around and burning some extra calories.
Break A Sweat: Your hotel doesn’t have a gym? No problem. Go for a run outside, go swimming, find a set of stairs and climb up and down for 30 mins, or do a sport that is available at your destination. Getting good exercise is easy – just be active and keep it moving!
Most Importantly Have Fun. Whether it’s a workcation or vacation, always make sure you are having fun and have a smile on your face.
