The grandeur of the lobby and welcoming committee was elegant and warm at Acqualina Resort and Spa. While Acqualina has a hotel and residence side, it is not open to the public nor are their restaurants.
The resort is perfect for families, business and leisure. They have separate pools for families as well as private cabanas near the pool. You can also request beds with sun canopies on the beach or the regular lounge chairs. They have seating to enjoy food and beverages in the grassy area between the pool and beach courtesy of Costa Grill.
The resort is easy to manage with everything in one building. The fitness center is open 24/7 and can accommodate all your fitness needs from the beginner to the trained athlete.
The Acqualina Spa by ESPA is located a separate floor and is wonderful. The relaxation room makes you never want to leave it is so peaceful. Enjoy the healing properties of the Himalyan Salt walls in the center of the room. The promise of an amazing treatment will pry you away from the lounge chairs. I suggest using the wet and dry sauna before your treatment to begin your spa journey. Before you go on your way from the spa, make sure to visit the Himalyan Salt Intention Bowl. I love this premise. You take one of the cards, write an intention you would like to manifest and place in card in the salt crystals in the bowl; knowing it will manifest itself for you!
My room, or shall I say super suite was beyond what I expected. It was more like a small home with full kitchen, dining area, living room, guest room/office, half bath, bedroom and beautiful bathroom. All of this facing the breathtaking Miami beach; visible from the terrace connecting the bedroom, living room and kitchen.
The hotel staff and level of service was delightful and refreshing.
