Freddy Heineken, founder of Heineken beer, originally bought the property for his wife in 1980 for their private guests. Then they turned it into a hotel.
The hotel is centrally located and an easy walk to most of the sites. Should you choose to ride a bicycle around Amsterdam, the hotel can arrange for that.
There are two restaurants and Freddie’s Bar on property as well as a spa and fitness center. They also have several meeting rooms should you consider the hotel for business.
